Dr. Ravuri Bharadwaja is an eminent Indian Novelist who rose to great heights from humble beginnings. He as a person and as a litterateur is trained in the school of adversity. His stories and novels portray the life of a common man in its total grandeur and vicissitude. He is a tried and tested Storywriter par excellence. Dr. Bharadwaja has won Bharateey Gyanpith Award (Indian Nobel for literature) for the year 2012. His Magnum Opus " Paakudu Raallu" ( Slippery Stones ) has been selected for this highest honor in Indian Literature. This is the first novel in Telugu literature which has cinema as its backdrop. May be it is a coincidence but this award is conferred on novel at a time when Indian Cinema is celebrating completion of 100 year and Telugu literature is celebrating 100 of Telugu Story. Paakudu Raallu revolves around the dark side of cinema and the central character is Manjari and her travails.
